Biography

John has served as the President of American Battery Factory since August 2023. ABF focuses exclusively on manufacturing and enhancing high-performance prismatic Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries – the safest, longest-lasting, most reliable and eco-friendly batteries available today—and essential to the long-term energy resilience and reliability of the U.S. electric grid and long-term energy independence. John graduated from the U.S. Military Academy as a distinguished cadet and has a MS in Environmental Engineering and an MBA (Kellogg Business School) from Northwestern University and is a graduate (MA) of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (Eisenhower School). He is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and a Chartered Financial Analyst. John served in the U.S. Army for more than three decades retiring as a Major General. He led forces at multi-levels in combat and in numerous key positions in the Pentagon and internationally. His final position was as the Commandant of the U.S. Army War College, which focuses on enhancing national and global security by developing ideas and educating U.S. and international leaders to serve and lead at the strategic-enterprise level.
