Biography

Abby Varas is the North America Advisory Manager for OCO Global, charged with advising multinational corporations and regional governments on market entry, site selection, and foreign direct investment strategies with a strong emphasis on advanced industries including battery production, semiconductors and clean energy manufacturing. At OCO, Abby focuses on developing strategy for companies to evaluate location competitiveness and optimize global operations, while also working with economic development organizations to refine ability to attract and retain industry.
Prior to joining OCO, Abby worked for EY’s Global Site Selection & Credit and Incentives team specializing in site selection for foreign direct investment projects and securing federal, state, and local incentives to support operations. She also previously worked for the Arizona Commerce Authority to increase business attraction activities in the state. Abby graduated with a B.A. in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of Oregon and is currently based in Phoenix, Arizona.
